A new podcast – the Plano Podcast – recently launched in our great local community. I was honored to be included in one of their first episodes.
At the time I was on City Council and we were having significant discussions surrounding the development of Downtown Plano. The City covers 72 square miles, but Downtown Plano has a unique quirky character that is a magnet for those who enjoy eclectic atmosphere.
Nobody’s better equipped to talk about the future of the arts in Plano than David Downs. He’s a member of Plano City Council, and an accomplished photographer. David talks about the vision for the downtown arts district in Plano and how fostering a “creative class” within the community makes Plano a more attractive destination for employers.

With this vibe as the seed for future development I hope that one day people will recognize this little section of town for its commitment to the arts and the Creatives.
